Since returning to Bumble (BMBL) in March, Wolfe Herd has led a project in secret to build a new, artificial intelligence-powered matchmaking app, Angel Au-Yeung of Wall Street Journal reports. The company has consulted expert psychologists and relationship counselors to program a matchmaking AI and seeks to release a beta version of the app to select users this fall, according to the Journal. Shares of Bumble are down 4c to $6.29 in morning trading.
