BP announces new oil discovery at U.S. Far South Prospect, WSJ reports

BP (BP) announced it has discovered oil at the U.S. Far South prospect in the Gulf of Mexico, The Wall Street Journal’s Adam Whittaker reports. BP said initial data shows high-quality reservoirs and a potentially commercial volume of hydrocarbons. BP co-owns the Far South prospect with Chevron (CVX).
