BorgWarner (BWA) has secured a contract to supply its battery system to the all-new HOLON – a company of the BENTELER Group – urban, a 15-person, Level 4 autonomous, fully electric shuttle. The contract marks BorgWarner’s first supply of battery technology for autonomous vehicles produced in North America. Each vehicle will feature two battery packs, each equipped with an integrated, replaceable contactor box and a multi-pack controller.
