Boeing (BA) has secured the backing of the Federal Aviation Administration to raise production of its 737 jetliner to 42 jets a month, according to Bloomberg’s Siddharth Philip and Eric Johnson, citing a person familiar with the matter. FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford told Boeing CEO on a phone call on Friday that “the agency was aligned with the company’s production plans following a close review of its factory performance,” the source said. The FAA didn’t immediately respond to a Bloomberg request for comment.
