Boeing (BA) and Airbus (EADSY) are readying the industry for major increases in output of the next generation of narrow-body jets to nearly 100 a month each, as they explore lighter plastic materials and robotic assembly, Reuters’ Tim Hepher reports, citing industry sources. Thermoplastic is among the options for successors to popular jets, the sources say.
