Beta Technologies (BETA) has been selected by the U.S. Department of Transportation, or DOT, and Federal Aviation Administration, or FAA, as a launch participant in its first-ever eVTOL Integration Pilot Program, or eIPP. Beta was selected to participate in seven of eight eIPP launch programs. These seven programs would see Beta operate in at least 10 states across the U.S. This includes flight operations with Beta’s ALIA CTOL and VTOL aircraft, as well as ground support operations with the company’s chargers and ground support equipment. The stepwise approach, with CTOL operations first and VTOL to follow, reflects Beta’s broader entry-into-service and eIPP deployment strategies.
