Baker Hughes (BKR) reports the U.S. rig count is up 2 from last week to 550 rigs, with oil rigs up 2 to 420, gas rigs unchanged at 121 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 9. The U.S. rig count is down 35 rigs from last year’s count of 585 with oil rigs down 60, gas rigs up 20 and miscellaneous up 5. The U.S. offshore rig count is up 4 to 21, up 5 year-over-year.
