Baker Hughes (BKR) reports the U.S. rig count is up 1 from last week to 546, with oil rigs up 3 to 412, gas rigs down 2 to 125 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 9. The U.S. rig count is down 43 rigs from last year’s count of 589, with oil rigs down 70, gas rigs up 22 and miscellaneous up 5. The U.S. offshore rig count is unchanged at 16, up 2 year-over-year.
