Baker Hughes (BKR) reported the U.S. rig count is down 8 from last week to 539 rigs, with oil rigs down 7 to 425, gas rigs down 1 to 108 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 6. The U.S. rig count is down 46 rigs from last year’s count of 585 with oil rigs down 54, gas rigs up 7 and miscellaneous rigs up 1. The U.S. offshore rig count is up 1 to 13, down 10 year-over-year.
