Baker Hughes (BKR) reports the U.S. rig count is down 2 from last week to 540 rigs, with oil rigs down 5 to 410, gas rigs up 2 to 124 and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 6. The U.S. rig count is down 46 rigs from last year’s count of 586, with oil rigs down 72, gas rigs up 26 and miscellaneous unchanged. The U.S. offshore rig count is unchanged at 13, down 7 year-over-year.
