Baker Hughes reports U.S. rig count down 1 to 548 rigs

Baker Hughes (BKR) reports that the U.S. rig count is down 1 from last week to 548 with oil rigs up 1 to 414, gas rigs down 2 to 127 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 7. The U.S. Rig Count is down 41 rigs from last year’s count of 589 with oil rigs down 68, gas rigs up 24 and miscellaneous up 3. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 to 17, up 3 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is up 1 from last week to 192, with oil rigs down 3 to 123, gas rigs up 4 to 69 and miscellaneous unchanged at 0. The Canada Rig Count is up 1 from last year’s count of 191 with oil rigs up 3, gas rigs down 2 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged.
