South Korean antitrust officials visited Arm‘s (ARM) Seoul offices as part of ongoing scrutiny of its licensing practices, following a complaint by Qualcomm (QCOM), which alleges that Arm is hurting competition by restricting access to its technology, Bloomberg’s Josh Sisco reports. The Korea Fair Trade Commission is conducting the unannounced inspections of Arm as part of an inquiry into its conduct, people familiar with the matter say. Qualcomm alleges that Arm created a major reliance on its technology through an open licensing model.
