Archer said via X that, “We’ve officially applied to launch air taxi operations with key U.S. cities under the @WhiteHouse’s eVTOL Integration Program. In conjunction with today’s unveil of the U.S. AAM National Strategy by the @USDOT and @FAA, we’re proud to share that we’ve completed multiple applications to the federal eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), a first-of-its-kind initiative led by the U.S. Department of Transportation and FAA to support early electric air taxi operations in U.S. cities as soon as next year. Our applications to the eIPP are proposed public-private partnerships with cities across California, Texas, Florida, Georgia and New York – supported by our longtime partner United Airlines. We’re also applying as the sole air taxi partner in Huntington Beach, California, in advance of our planned operations as the Official Air Taxi Provider of the LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games. The DOT’s new AAM strategy that was announced today expands on the eIPP, establishing a framework to safely integrate eVTOLs into national airspace by aligning certification, operations, infrastructure and early deployment to enable American companies to move from flight testing into early commercial operations.”
