While the Mac Mini made up only 3% of Apple’s (AAPL) Mac unit sales in the U.S. last year, it has become a good host for private, “always-on” AI agents, Nicole Nguyen of The Wall Street Journal reports. This unexpected hike in demand is apparent on Apple’s website, which currently shows the Mac Mini with larger-capacity RAM chips as “currently unavailable” while the shipping time for any other Mini model starts at about a month.
