Apple’s (AAPL) plans for an artificial intelligence comeback include an “ambitious slate of new devices,” including robots, a lifelike version of Siri, and smart home devices, sources told Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. A tabletop virtual companion robot, targeted for 2027, is the centerpiece of the AI strategy, people with knowledge of the matter told Gurman. A smart speaker with a display is slated to arrive next year as part of a push into entry-level smart-home products, the report added.
