Apple (AAPL) has reached the late stages of development for new AirPods with built-in cameras, with the earbuds featuring cameras that act as eyes for the Siri digital assistant, allowing the device to capture visual information in low resolution and provide information to the user, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. The new AirPods are expected to be part of a wave of AI products from Apple, which is racing to compete with OpenAI, Meta, and others in the AI device space.
