Following a major rebuke in the lower courts over its legal dispute with “Fortnite” maker Epic Games, Apple (AAPL) has filed a notice of appeal to the Ninth Circuit in an attempt to challenge last week’s ruling that prevents the iPhone maker from charging developers fees on purchases made outside the App Store, The Verge’s Sarah Jeong reports. Investors in Epic include Tencent (TCEHY), KKR (KKR), Disney (DIS), and Sony (SONY).
