Apple (AAPL) has eliminated dozens of sales roles and management notified the affected workers over the past couple of weeks about the cuts, which extended across the sales organization, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. A spokesperson for the company is quoted as having said: “To connect with even more customers, we are making some changes in our sales team that affect a small number of roles. We are continuing to hire and those employees can apply for new roles.” Shares of Apple are 1.7% higher in afternoon trading.
