Apple (AAPL) has held discussions on using Intel (INTC) and Samsung (SSNLF) to produce the main processors for its U.S. devices, Mark Gurman, Ian King, and Ryan Gould of Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the matter. This would offer a second option beyond Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM). No orders have yet been place and the work with both suppliers remains preliminary, the sources added.
