Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook has met with U.S. lawmakers to lobby against legislation that would require app store operators to authenticate user ages, Emily Birnbaum and Erik Wasson of Bloomberg reports. He pressed for an alternative version of the App Store Accountability Act that instead places the burden of protecting children on their parents. Apple said Cook’s argument was based on privacy concerns.
