Private equity firm Apollo Global (APO) Management is considering a potential sale of aviation company Atlas Air Worldwide, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Ryan Gould, Siddharth Philip and Manuel Baigorri. The firm is in the early stages of considering a potential divestment of Atlas Air and may seek to value the business at more than $12B including debt, sources said. Private equity firms and other industry suitors have shown some early interest in acquiring Atlas Air as well, the authors note.
