Barrington analyst Alexander Paris raised the firm’s price target on American Public Education (APEI) to $36 from $32 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares after Q2 results topped expectations and FY25 guidance was raised. Shares are trading at “a big discount to the for-profit postsecondary peer group average” despite recovering demand for affordable online higher education and nursing programs and the firm’s expectation for continued enrollment growth and margin expansion in 2025, the analyst tells investors.
