American Airlines (AAL) said via X that, “We are pleased the government shutdown is over and we’re already seeing significantly fewer air traffic control staffing shortages, which is leading to reduced delays and cancellations for our customers. We are ready to ramp up, but we expect some lingering delays and cancellations as air traffic control and FAA return to normal operations. We encourage all customers to check their flight status via the American app or http://aa.com.”
