Truist raised the firm’s price target on AMD (AMD) to $173 from $111 but keeps a Hold rating on the shares. The company’s Q2 results and Q3 guide saw big upside in gaming, offset by higher operating expense and in-line EPS, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Truist adds that while it can see a case that data center revenue growth accelerates in 2026, that is not its current model and not a “great reason” to stray from its preference for Nvidia (NVDA) and Broadcom (AVGO)( AVGO).
