AMD (AMD) will resume shipments of its MI308 AI chips to China soon, CNBC’s Samantha Subin reports. AMD said in April it would incur up to $800M in charges tied to MI308 export controls. The news came after Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang met with President Donald Trump last week. “We applaud the progress made by the Trump administration in advancing trade negotiations and its commitment to US AI leadership,” an AMD spokesperson said in a statement to CNBC.
