AMC Theatres announced that ‘Project Hail Mary’ delivered the biggest opening weekend at AMC in 2026 to date. The film’s success, combined with other new openings and strong holdovers, helped drive the Company’s second-highest weekend of the year for admissions revenue at its U.S.-based AMC theatres and globally, including its ODEON Cinemas locations overseas. AMC Chairman and CEO Adam Aron commented: “PROJECT HAIL MARY is a terrific example of how original storytelling combined with expert marketing of the theatrical experience can resonate with audiences and deliver meaningful results at the box office.
