AMC Entertainment (AMC) is ending its opposition to commercials that come right before each movie and has reached an agreement with National CineMedia (NCMI) to run advertising spots, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Thomas Buckley. AMC theaters soon will feature a “platinum spot” that’s shown on screens right before the start of a film and the theater chain will get a cut of the revenue, the sources said. Shares of AMC Entertainment are 3% lower after the news.
