Amazon to restart drone delivery in Arizona amid FAA, NTSB probes, TC reports

Amazon plans to resume drone delivery service in Arizona on Friday even as the FAA and NTSB are investigating a crash involving two Prime Air delivery drones earlier this week, TechCrunch’s Kirsten Korosec reports. Amazon spokesperson Terrence Clark said the ecommerce giant will continue to support “ongoing reviews by relevant agencies.” “Safety is our top priority, and we’ve completed our own internal review of this incident and are confident that there wasn’t an issue with the drones or the technology that supports them,” Clark told TechCrunch in an emailed statement. “Nonetheless, we’ve introduced additional processes like enhanced visual landscape inspections to better monitor for moving obstructions such as cranes.”
