Amazon (AMZN) has plans for a new ultrafast delivery offering for groceries and other daily essentials in major urban areas in the U.S., sources told The Information. Amazon has approached large consumer packaged goods brands in recent months to ask them for lists of products it could sell through the service, a person with knowledge of the talks told The Information’s Ann Gehan. Other companies that offer food and product delivery services include DoorDash (DASH), Instacart (CART) and Uber (UBER).
