Amazon (AMZN) has acquired a stake in Colombian delivery company Rappi, with an initial investment in the form of a $25M convertible note, Bloomberg’s Kate Clark, Matt Day, and Patricia Laya report, citing a person familiar with the matter. Acquiring access to Rappi’s logistics network could help the e-commerce giant compete with rival MercadoLibre (MELI), the authors note.
