Alpha & Omega Semiconductor has agreed to pay a $4.25M settlement with the U.S. Department of Commerce for shipping goods to China’s Huawei, breaking export rules, Reuters’ Karen Freifeld reports. The company engaged in prohibited conduct by shipping 1,650 power controllers, smart power stages, and other accessories to the Chinese company in 2019 without authorization, the author notes.
