As previously reported, UBS analyst Joshua Spector upgraded Albemarle (ALB) to Neutral from Sell with a price target of $89, up from $62, citing the view that China mine site closures add risk to the upside for sustained improvement in lithium prices. The China supply actions make the firm’s “lower for longer” Albemarle thesis “more challenged,” the analyst added.
