Akzo Nobel (AKZOY) is in advanced talks to merge with rival Axalta Coating Systems (AXTA), Bloomberg’s David Carnevali, Ryan Gould, Aaron Kirchfeld, and Charlotte Hughes-Morgan report, citing people familiar with the matter. The companies could announce a deal as soon as Tuesday, said the people, who asked to not be identified because the discussions are private.
