As previously reported, Jefferies analyst Chloe Lemarie upgraded Airbus (EADSY) to Buy from Hold with a price target of EUR 175, down from EUR 180. After a strong defense rally, and a significant de-rating of civil aerospace names amid tariff concerns, the firm is switching its preference back towards civil, the analyst tells investors. Q1 reporting so far reassured on tariff implications and production, while soft in Q1, was better than anticipated, adds the analyst, who sees “a meaningful re-rating opportunity” should the industry’s lobbying in favor of a return to 1979 rules be successful.
