Some of the largest air cargo operators have warned of a capacity crunch as their jet fleets age and Boeing (BA) and Airbus (EADSY) delay deliveries, Chan Ho-him and Sylvia Pfeifer of The Financial Times reports. “The supply-demand imbalance for large wide-body freighters will intensify over the next several years,” Atlas Air CEO Michael Steen told the Financial Times. Steen blamed this on “an upcoming wave of aircraft retirements, coupled with limited capacity entering the market and ongoing supply chain challenges.”
