AeroVironment (AVAV) announced it has been awarded a $46.6M, five-year contract by the Italian Ministry of Defence for its JUMP 20 vertical takeoff and landing medium uncrewed aircraft system. The contract includes JUMP 20 air vehicles, engineering services, initial sustainment, and onsite technical support. The JUMP 20 system will replace Italy’s existing Shadow UAS fleet.
