Fivespan Partners, the activist investment firm started last year by Dylan Haggart and Sarah Coyne, formerly of ValueAct Capital, has built a position in The New York Times (NYT) and is pushing the newspaper company to use artificial intelligence to expand its subscription base, according to a letter reviewed by Bloomberg News.
