Truist raised the firm’s price target on Academy Sports (ASO) to $54 from $52 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares. The firm is also lowering its Q1 EPS forecast to 92c from 97c, reflecting a more Q1-weighted SG&A profile than it was previously modeling. That said, Truist believes this is mostly a timing issue and is reiterating its FY26/2027 EPS forecasts of $6.30/$6.95. While the firm remains cautious about the financial health of Academy Sports’ core customers in this macro, Truist believes the outlook on oil prices has improved.
