BofA lowered the firm’s price target on Academy Sports (ASO) to $55 from $60 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The firm lowered its FY26 adjusted EPS view to $5.80 from $6.15 given the fiscal Q1 miss and lower comp forecast. A more positive merchandising outlook with Nike (NKE) and trade down/traffic benefit from upper income customers are offset by competitive pressures and softness in core lower-to-middle income cohort, the analyst tells investors in an earnings recap note.
