UBS lowered the firm’s price target on Academy Sports (ASO) to $48 from $54 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. The firm expects Academy’s Q1 comparable sales to decline 4% amid challenging conditions in the early part of the quarter, which more than offset some improvement later in the period, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The company’s recently launched Jordan assortment will be part of what drives its near-term success, the firm argues.
