“Temu Range Rover” Beats Ford in the United Kingdom: Ford Stock (NYSE:F) Gains

Legacy automaker Ford (F) has seen better days of late, and a recent development offered no help at all. A new study out from the United Kingdom revealed that Ford recently got beaten, sales-wise, buy a car known as the “Temu Range Rover,” a Chinese model known as the Jaecoo 7. This particular insult did little to dampen investors’ spirits, though, and sent shares up fractionally in Thursday afternoon’s trading.

The Jaecoo 7 managed to outsell both the Ford Puma and the Nissan (NSANY) Qashqai in March, posting a total of 10,064 registrations against the Puma’s 9,193 and the Qashqai’s 8,718 units. Amazingly, the Jaecoo had only been available in the United Kingdom for just over a year, entering the market back in January 2025.

The fact that the Jaecoo 7 has several different powertrains available to it, including gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid versions, made it particularly attractive. And the price tag certainly struck a chord with Brits, as it was available for 30,165 pounds sterling, about $40,537 U.S. With 85% of all Jaecoo 7 sales being for the plug-in hybrid variant, it also went to prove the value of that particular powertrain in the region.

Ford Makes a Switch With Locations

Ford recently shifted its banner, moving its headquarters away from the so-called Glass House and opening up its first new World Headquarters back in November. Some wondered what would happen to the old buildings, and a new report from Ford reveals the fate of one of them.

What used to be the Product Development Center, reports note, will be converted to being part of the World Headquarters Complex, and renamed to World Headquarters South. Once the task is complete, the complex will have space for between 10,000 and 11,000 employees, and will put about 16,000 total employees within a 15-minute walk of each other. This is supposed to improve collaboration among all those employees, but you would think a video chat could do that just as well.

Is Ford Stock a Good Buy Right Now?

Turning to Wall Street, analysts have a Hold consensus rating on F stock based on three Buys, 11 Holds and one Sell assigned in the past three months, as indicated by the graphic below. After a 33.26% rally in its share price over the past year, the average F price target of $13.88 per share implies 13.4% upside potential.
