The solutions use AMD’s latest Instinct MI355X GPUs, built on 4th Gen CDNA architecture, delivering major performance gains over the previous generation.
On the performance front, the new servers offer up to 4x more AI compute and 35x faster inference, enabling quicker model training and deployment.
Also, each GPU comes with 288GB of HBM3e memory with 8TB/s bandwidth, supporting heavy workloads. Moreover, power capacity has been boosted from 1000W to 1400W, allowing for double-digit performance gains over earlier air-cooled systems.
Why This Move Matters
The launch comes at a time when AI workloads are rising across industries, from generative AI models that power chatbots to scientific research. Companies are racing to deliver infrastructure that can handle these workloads efficiently.
Dell (DELL) and other rivals have already announced servers featuring AMD’s Instinct MI355X GPUs, pointing to the intense market competition.
Meanwhile, by providing both air-cooled and liquid-cooled options, Supermicro enables businesses to choose based on their needs and infrastructure, making advanced AI performance more accessible.
