U.S. stock futures trended higher on Tuesday morning amid falling oil prices. Investors closely watched updates on the Middle East conflict and the latest earnings reports. Futures on the Nasdaq 100 (NDX), the S&P 500 Index (SPX), and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) were up 0.76%, 0.48%, and 0.44%, respectively, at 8:30 a.m. EDT on May 5.

At the time of writing, Brent crude (CM:BZ) was down 2.3% to $111.82 per barrel, while WTI crude (CM:CL) fell 3.4% to $102.85.

During Monday’s regular trading session, major indexes fell after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) said Iran launched drones and missiles, sparking concerns about the already shaky ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. Overall, the Dow Jones, the S&P 500, and the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.13%, 0.41%, and 0.19%, respectively.

Turning to trending stocks, Pinterest (PINS) shares soared about 18% in Tuesday’s pre-market trading after the social media platform reported upbeat Q1 2026 results and issued strong revenue guidance for the second quarter. Also, Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD) stock rose 7% after the alcoholic beverage giant reported better-than-expected Q1 results.

In contrast, Palantir Technologies (PLTR) stock fell 1.2% despite the data analytics provider exceeding Wall Street’s expectations for Q1 2026. Meanwhile, Intel (INTC) stock rose about 4% after Bloomberg reported that Apple (AAPL) has held early discussions with the chipmaker to manufacture processors for its devices, in a move to expand beyond its long-time partner, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM).
