Rivian Automotive (RIVN) stock was down on Tuesday despite the electric vehicle (EV) company’s shares getting an increased price target from UBS analysts. The firm’s analysts increased their price target to $13 from $12 per share and maintained a Neutral rating.

The bad news for RIVN stock is that the shares were trading at $15.23 today. This means that the raised price target from UBS still implies a roughly 14.6% downside for the shares. UBS sees the expected 2026 launch of the Rivian R2 as a potential positive for the company. However, it has concerns that the $45,000 price will be too steep for many consumers.
