Christopher Nardone has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to Walmart’s structural growth and improving profitability outlook. He highlights Walmart’s rapid deployment of AI, particularly the Sparky platform, which is already boosting average order values and enhancing customer engagement, supporting a higher long-term earnings and cash flow trajectory.
He also points to Walmart’s ability to gain share in periods of macro uncertainty, supported by resilient core customers and a value-oriented proposition across both general merchandise and grocery. The strength in fashion, electronics, and other categories, combined with high-margin digital and ecommerce businesses, gives Walmart flexibility to defend price leadership while still expanding margins, justifying a price objective above the current trading level.
According to TipRanks, Nardone is a 4-star analyst with an average return of 12.8% and a 52.83% success rate.
