Neal Dingmann has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including Viper Energy’s stronger‑than‑expected fourth‑quarter 2025 performance and its constructive 2026 production outlook. The company’s earnings and operating cash flow beat were largely driven by gas volumes that exceeded both his and the broader market’s projections, underscoring a robust operational backdrop.
He also highlights a meaningfully enhanced shareholder return framework, with a 15% increase in the base dividend and a sizable $1 billion expansion of the share‑repurchase authorization. With leverage already close to the firm’s $1.5 billion long‑term debt goal, Viper plans to distribute more than 100% of cash available for distribution, leading Dingmann to expect the stock to outperform peers as this capital return strategy is executed.
In another report released today, Roth MKM also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $48.00 price target.
