Jonathan Ho has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to Tyler’s strong competitive position and AI strategy. After attending the Tyler Connect conference, he concluded that the company’s deeply embedded, long-standing customer relationships and broad, mission-critical installed base create a durable foundation that should support sustained growth and limit competitive displacement.
He also views Tyler’s pragmatic, embedded approach to AI—centered on customer data control, human oversight, and integration into existing workflows—as a meaningful strategic moat. Customer feedback at the event suggested high trust in Tyler, low appetite to replace its systems with internally built AI tools, and clear demand for AI capabilities that improve efficiency, all of which reinforce his positive outlook and support the Buy recommendation.
In another report released today, Needham also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $400.00 price target.
