TMC is pioneering in the deep-sea mining sector, focusing on extracting valuable polymetallic nodules from the Clarion Clipperton Zone, which is one of the largest known deposits of such resources. This first-mover advantage, coupled with the completion of key milestones like pilot collection and environmental trials, positions TMC favorably in the market.
Furthermore, significant support from the U.S. government, particularly through an Executive Order signed by President Donald Trump, underscores the national importance of deep-sea mining and facilitates a streamlined process for obtaining necessary permits. TMC has already applied for exploration and commercial recovery permits, which, if approved, could significantly de-risk the project and propel the company towards commercial operations. The valuation of TMC, based on a discounted cash flow model of the NORI-D Project, suggests a promising financial outlook, further justifying the Buy rating with a price target of $5.50 per share.

In another report released on May 15, Alliance Global Partners also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $6.00 price target.
