WULX: an alternative to margin or options on WULF

John Todaro has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors tied to TeraWulf’s expanded capacity and visible growth runway. The company’s acquisition of two brownfield sites in Kentucky and Maryland boosts its total infrastructure portfolio to 2.8 GW, more than doubling its prior scale and supporting management’s stated ambition of adding 250–500 MW per year. These sites appear to be the same opportunities management had previously described as being close to completion, suggesting that the timing has been optimized to rapidly transition into high-performance computing leasing and construction once all conditions are met. Todaro also notes ongoing engagement with large, investment-grade hyperscale customers and partners such as Fluidstack/Google, which underpins the potential for securing additional long-term leases beyond the capacity already contracted.
At the asset level, the Hawesville, Kentucky property offers roughly 480 MW of immediate capacity on a large, buildable footprint with existing substation and direct grid access, providing room for incremental expansion and relatively efficient development. The Morgantown site in Charles County, Maryland, adds a grid-connected facility already producing about 210 MW and offers a pathway to scale up to as much as 1 GW, with the initial phase expected to enable around 500 MW of critical IT load. This asset also positions TeraWulf inside the PJM market with strategic proximity to Washington, D.C. and the broader Mid-Atlantic corridor, strengthening its appeal to enterprise and hyperscale tenants in a supply-constrained region. While the Maryland acquisition is still subject to FERC and other regulatory approvals, Todaro views the combined capacity additions, strategic locations, and customer pipeline as creating a compelling risk-reward profile that supports a Buy recommendation.

In another report released today, TipRanks – Google also upgraded the stock to a Buy with a $15.00 price target.
