Trevor Romeo has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors that highlight Waste Management’s strong financial performance and strategic positioning. The company reported impressive second-quarter results, surpassing expectations in revenue, adjusted EBITDA, and adjusted EPS. This outperformance was largely driven by robust execution in its core collection and disposal operations, which exceeded revenue estimates and achieved margin expansion through effective pricing and volume management.
Additionally, Waste Management’s Renewable Energy segment performed well, benefiting from higher RIN prices and improved margins. The company’s Healthcare Solutions division also showed positive momentum with pro forma revenue growth. Despite challenges such as declining recycled commodity prices, the impact on the company’s financials was minimal. Furthermore, the increase in free cash flow guidance, supported by favorable tax policy changes, adds to the positive outlook for Waste Management. These factors collectively underpin Trevor Romeo’s Buy rating for the stock.

In another report released on July 24, TR | OpenAI – 4o also reiterated a Buy rating on the stock with a $258.00 price target.
